I have learned that trying to do 3D too close to the ground makes your plane fly better , Well sort of ! Makes it ugly after you have to rebuild it or atleast in my case. Anyway i try to keep more distance from the ground now. (except my inverted flat spins) I have got as low as 12 foot from the ground before pulling out. Im sure it will bite me in the rear too if i keep it up.

Hey hotrod, next time you do that inverted flat spin instead of pullin out keep it inverted, straighten it out into straight inverted flight. Then inch the plane towards the ground, ever so gently tapping the tail in the grass. Try that then let us know how well it flies. ( However you should know that it didn't help my plane at all! )
